Dear Family and Friends –
I regret to inform you of the passing of Colin TheRat HauserBannerSchmittman.
Colin passed around 7:12am due to what appeared to be an acute upper respiratory infection.
Colin was a lively, good tempered rat who often spent his time alone, likely contemplating what it means to be a rat. He was kind, though his claws were too sharp. Colin earned his living working as a photography model in Schmittopia. His works, though never published, are well known to the locals.
Around the cage, Colin was an avid cleaner; he could often be found cleaning bedding out of the house, or to my dismay, pushing it out of the cage completely. Though he and I had a difference of opinion on the matter, his intentions were good; he wanted a clean home for himself and the rest of his cagemates.
Colin will be sorely missed, having been taken from us too soon at the young age of approximately 1.5 years old. Colin is indirectly survived by his 5 cagemates: Ivan, Jeffy, Jordan, Sheldon, and Tyler.
Please join me in celebrating Colin’s life, and wishing him safe passage to the big rat cage in the sky.
